Malene Barnett has earned a reputation as a creative influencer and a leading industry-voice.


Over the past two decades her textile and pattern design work has been featured in Interior Design, New York Magazine, HGTV Magazine, Luxe + Design Magazine & House Beautiful.

In her tenth year as a textile designer, Malene Barnett decided that she would transform her design work and return to her roots as a fine artist. To signal this change Malene approached us to create a visual brand that fit the new direction. We focused on creating a look that was restrained enough to keep her artwork as the main focus, while still communicating her worldly influences and personality of her aesthetic.

Malene Barnett’s logo is a custom typeface inspired by the bold line work and angular patterns in Malene’s paintings, textiles, and ceramics. The word mark is constructed to both be bold to compliment the work but also to be able to act as an anchor and hold its own when used in combination with Malene’s artwork.
